Text Box: Bullying
      What is it?
Young people have a good idea of what bullying is because they either see
it or experience it every day!  Bullying is when someone deliberately hurts
or scares another person and that person has a hard time defending
themselves. Bullying usually happens over and over again.
Punching, shoving and other acts that hurt people physically
Spreading bad rumors about people
Keeping certain people out of a "group"
Teasing people in a mean way
Getting certain people to "gang up" on others
Bullying also can happen on-line or electronically. cyber bullying is when
children or teens bully each other using the Internet, mobile phones or
other cyber technology.  This can include

Sending mean text, e-mail, or instant messages;
Posting nasty pictures or messages about others in *blogs or
          on Web sites;
Using someone else's user name to spread rumors or lies about someone.

  * A blog is a user generated website where entries are made in journal/diary style
       and displayed in a reverse chronological order
    Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics,
    or local news; some function as more personal online diaries.
         A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and
          other media related to its topic.
    The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part
    of many blogs.
          Most blogs are primarily textual although some focus on photographs (photoblog),
          sketchblog, videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting), and are part of a wider network
          of social media.
    The term "blog" is derived from "Web log." "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to
    maintain or add content to a blog
