God! I feel like this should be an episode of the Addams family?
I can see it now, ‘Uncle Fester tries to make a friend’.
I’m 32, and most of my friends never call or write back anymore. And the few that do are all moving away.
I’m anti-social (as in I’m socially awkward, not un-social)
I don’t go to bars or clubs.
Church is out of the question.
And, oh yeah, I’m agoraphobic. (Please, before you make stupid comments, look it up)
So how do I make new friends? In the past I’d find friends either at work or school. Currently I’m not doing either. Does that just leave social network sites like cryspace? And if so how retarded does it sound to ask someone you’ve never met before out for coffee?
get involved in a sport or a bookclub? IDK its hard for me to answer, but maybe go to the library, Starbucks, take up a partime jobe.
